exclusive rights to produce a motion picture based on Fr. Ron’s book
“Tear in the Desert”. Christian Peschken starts immediately with
activities to raise funding for the film.
March 2010: Producer / Distributor Johan Sturm of Animated Family Films
and AMG FILMS based in Florida and South Africa agrees to include
‘Tear in the Desert” in his upcoming slate of film projects, consisting
of Family oriented animation films and life action films.
in Malibu, Calif, to co-create with him the film story adaptation of Fr. Ron’s
book / diary, and then to write the screenplay version entitled:
“A TEAR IN THE DESERT”.
May 2010: Johan Sturm and Christian Peschken sign a joint venture
and co-production deal under which Johan Sturm arranges funding for
the film “A Tear in the Desert”, and includes it in his 10 picture slate
that will be internationally distributed by one of the major studios.
Peschken and Sturm agree to film the project in South Africa.
June 2010: -Johan Sturm meets with major distributors in Los Angeles.
A distribution deal for the film package will be announced shortly.
-June 10: A first draft of the film script is completed.
July 2010: Producer Christian Peschken signed on Polish film director
the movie.
